Justin Baldoni, you’ve got Taylor Swift seeing red! The pop sensation is not thrilled about being subpoenaed in the heated legal battle between her close pal Blake Lively and actor-director Justin Baldoni.

On May 9, news broke that Swift has been dragged into the ongoing feud stemming from Lively and Baldoni’s 2024 film, It Ends with Us. And Taylor has some choice words about it.

Swift’s spokesperson fired back, stating that the singer had zero involvement in the film’s production or creative decisions. “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie… she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the rep asserted.

The only connection Taylor had to the film was licensing her song ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ The rep continued, “Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Swift and Lively have been close friends for years, often spotted together at events and games. Lively sued Baldoni in December, accusing him of sexual harassment and unprofessional behavior on the set of It Ends with Us. Baldoni has denied these allegations and filed a countersuit alleging defamation and extortion against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicity team.

While Swift isn’t named as a defendant in Baldoni’s complaint, she is mentioned as supporting Lively’s script rewrites. Baldoni allegedly understood this as a directive to comply with Lively’s changes. Swift has remained silent publicly about her role in this drama, but Lively is reportedly apologetic for involving her friend.

The legal battle is set to go to trial in March, and Swift might not be the last celebrity dragged into this mess. Hugh Jackman could also receive a subpoena. “Anyone that had any knowledge of this situation will be subpoenaed, no matter their celebrity status,” a source told People Magazine.
